I have always wanted to write strongly faith-based novels; I'm sure that those of you who have read most of my books have noticed a thread of faith throughout all my stories. Though these stories are billed "inspirational," they are not much different from the Bittner books you are accustomed to reading. All are full of history, adventure and passion, and you will not be disappointed! (You might want to read my article, Religion In Secular Fiction vs. The Inspirational Romance.)

"Dear Rosanne -- I enthusiastically endorsed your books in my bible class last week. Into the Valley and Where Heaven Begins were two of my favorites. I have read six of your novels thus far. Your use of scripture, especially those from Psalms, were especially helpful and inspirational. It was obvious that each scripture was carefully and prayerfully chosen to help the reader understand the spiritual context of the saga." -- Mary

Against the rugged splendor of Alaska during the 1890's Gold Rush comes an inspiring love story and journey of discovery....

With rough miners stampeding to the Klondike's golden hills as her shipmates, Elizabeth Breckenridge sets sail for Alaska to find her brother in Dawson. But when Elizabeth falls overboard midjourney, she is rescued by a man very unlike her minister brother — Clint Brady, a cynical bounty hunter who notoriously shoots to kill.

Together, this unlikely couple struggle for survival in the wilderness as they make their waynorth amid the awesome beauty of the Alaskan frontier. Dawson, peopled by "heathens," holds further surprises for Elizabeth. Perhaps most astonishing, Clint proposes marriage. Elizabeth returns his love but fears that his inability to let go of the past could cost them their future. Unless she can make Clint see that heaven is no abstraction in the sky, but something they can experience together....

This is the story of a man and woman headed West under the Homestead Act, each for his or her own reasons. Both have suffered tragedy and disappointments that have affected their outlook on love and trust. The journey West brings these two together in unexpected ways, and both realize they have one thing in common — a desire to start new lives and leave the past behind them.

Through the trials and hardships of their westward journey, hero and heroine each come to admire the strength and courage of the other, an admiration that blossoms into love, although both still fear trusting anyone. One particular disaster as well as the trust of the heroine's little girl, teach these two about faith in Christ and prayer and opens their eyes to total love and the realization that they want to spend their lives together in a new land.

And it's this man — Dawson Clements — who stays behind with Clarissa when her daughter becomes gravely ill. But as the makeshift "family" finally nears Montana, Clarissa knows her greatest challenge still lies ahead. Can she convince Dawson to remain by her side for a journey that will last a lifetime?
